362 Days Left Until A-ron Gets Home...And My Man

I was tagged so lets get to know "MY MAN"

My Man wearing PINK!

Rules: Answer and re-post the following questions about the man in your life.

What is his full name? Aaron Ty Hilton

How long have you been married? 1 year 3 weeks and 5 days, and it has gone by so fast.

How long did you date? A-ron and I went on our first date August 5th {Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert} and we kinda hung out for about a month and a half. We dated seriously for 3 weeks and then we were engaged. It was fast but it felt so right! We were engaged on Friday, October 13th. {Friday the 13th} We were married February 3, 2007.

Who eats more sweets? Oh wow I have the biggest sweet tooth, A-ron tells me that all the time. I just love "Smarties"which our full of sugar. So that one would have to be me!

Who said I love you first? A-ron would say "I think I am falling in love with you" to test the water to see what I would do, so I was the first one to official say "I love you." From that moment on we have been all smiles.

How old is he? 23

Who is taller? A-ron

Who is smarter? Well A-ron has his strengths in certain subjects and I have my strengths in certain subjects. I hate to say this but I think he is smarter

Who can sing better? A-ron for sure, I have a terrible voice.

Who drives? A-ron drives, but for the next year I will be the one doing the driving.

Who is more stubborn? A-ron is so stubborn, our friend Missy calls him a "Stubborn Mule"LOL

Who kissed who first? A-ron kissed me. It is kinda a funny story. I had just gotten back from Jackson Hole and A-ron had just gotten back from Arizona. While on our little vacations A-ron told me that he bought me something, so ofcourse I was thinking to my-self that I needed to get him something. I really could not think of anything so I thought that my gift would be a kiss. We had not kissed yet, and A-ron was so patient with me. So the night we hung out he brought the gift he bought me to my house which was my favorite cheesecake from the "Cheesecake Factory" he brought it all the way home from Arizona. It was so thoughtful. So when we were saying goodbye we gave each other a little peck. It was amazing, lets just say sparks flew!

Who asked who out? He did.

Who proposed? A-ron. I was so surprised and it was such a wonderful day!

Who has more siblings? I have 3, and A-ron has more.

Who wears the pants? We both wear pants, but A-ron and I walk shoulder to shoulder.

Well that is "My American Soldier"

If you have already done this one than no need to do it again. Or if you are "tagged" out and sick of doing them than I totally understand I know that your Men in your life are great. Have fun!

364 Days Left Until A-ron Gets Home

One day at a time! I wanted to post an article about A-ron's deployment. So here it is. Today has been pretty good I have been so busy with work I have not had time to even think about how I am feeling. I really could not sleep last night it was so hard, I kept having nightmares and would wake up and panic, luckily my sister Jessie spent the night with me and that really helped. I know that with a little bit of "Faith" I will begin to feel a little bit better.
So my motto for this year is
{One Day At a Time}

Hundreds of Utah soldiers begin 12-month deployment
February 26th, 2008 @ 11:58am
Tom Callan and Nicole Gonzales reporting

Approximately 300 soldiers from the Utah National Guard's 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion left Utah this morning to begin a 12-month deployment. Members will be the only military intelligence battalion serving in Afghanistan.
This battalion is one of the more experienced we've seen leave the Utah Air National Guard Base. More than half of the soldiers have been on an overseas mission before, and some have even been deployed three to four times. Regardless of experience, it's always hard on the families.
Sheny Allen said goodbye to her husband this morning. "We tried not to really think about it but explained to our kids what's going on, and just that he's going over for a good reason and helping the people over in Afghanistan," said Allen.
These soldiers have known about this mission to Afghanistan since last summer. Capt. John Martinez, with the Utah Army National Guard, said the area is definitely growing more dangerous, and that's why his battalion has so many different disciplines of intelligence. Martinez said, "Military intelligence, we can do everything, so there's guys that do signal intelligence, imagery intelligence, just different stuff."
Others say their main mission is to seek information peacefully from locals with the help of interpreters. Sgt. Ron Hill says, "Essentially we just talk to the local people, build up a lot of rapport with them, and then we hope that they trust us enough to let us know before anything happens."
"We're going to go over and try and win the hearts and the minds of the people. That's what we're training for: knowing how to talk to people, understand their culture, hopefully help them understand our culture a little bit and if at all possible, save some lives," said Spc. Daniel Russo.
Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman expressed how proud he is of this battalion. "You're doing something that is the most important thing that any of us can do in life," Huntsman said. "When we're at the end of journey of life the only thing that we're remembered by is service."
The soldiers are on their way to Ft. Lewis, Wash. They will spend about two months in Washington to receive additional training before heading to Afghanistan.
While in Afghanistan, the 142nd will help the 101st Airborne Division and will conduct a variety of intelligence missions.

365 Days Left Before A-ron Gets Home..

Yes I am counting down the days until A-ron gets home. I want to keep a good journal while A-ron is gone, so here I go. So today the journey begins. One day at a time.
Good Luck SSG Hilton, I love and support you!

What A-ron and I did before he left...

{A-ron and I jammin out}
So the time has come and A-ron has begun his one year deployment. We sent him off this morning at 10:30, I have some great pictures to post I just have not uploaded them to the computer yet. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I thought I would never stop crying, but luckily I have. It has been the most incredible couple of weeks being with A-ron we have been trying to do all our favorite things crammed into a week, but we did it all and it was so much fun.

Fantastic Friday night action. A-ron and I went to dinner with our good friends Jed and Missy, we went to Wingers which was one of the place A-ron wanted to eat at before he left. We enjoyed dinner, laughed and really had a wonderful time. After dinner we went and rented a movie because we were going to have a SLUMBER PARTY with Jed and Missy at their place. Our dog even got to come and party with their dog Rudy. We were like teenagers again laughing, and staying up late. Saturday morning Jed and Missy made us a wonderful breakfast. We had a great time. Thanks Jed and Missy.

Splendid Saturday Action. Saturday was great A-ron and I were able to go to the temple which I am so happy we did the spirit was so strong, and it was nice to be in the temple with my eternal companion. I really think that is what is getting me through this because I know that this year is just a glimpse of the time we have together, because we have eternity. I can handle a year! Right? Well after the temple we had a few things we needed to get done before he left, like the dreaded taxes. Not fun. That night we went to A-ron's grandma's house so his father could give him a priesthood blessing. It was such an awesome night and we enjoyed every minute. Oh and did I mention that A-ron wanted McDonalds for dinner, so I had a kids meal.

Super Sunday Action. Of course we went to church which was great being able to sit by my husband during the meeting. After church A-ron and I really wanted to get one last Sunday night nap in, those our the best naps. My mother made a wonderful dinner for us and A-ron was able to give me such a remarkable blessing. I feel so lucky to have a husband who is a worthy priesthood holder. Can you tell that I love him so much? We also got some rockband in and went to my Grandma's house so we could see my family and play ping-pong. Ya A-ron won. It was such a great weekend, I enjoyed every minute with A-ron. We did not let each other out of site.

So he is in Washingtion at the moment and I will post some pictures from this morning. It is a little hard at the moment to write about it, I am kinda a mess. I know that I am going to learn alot from this and grow stronger. Thank you to everyone and their support. I have the best family and friends.

Aronisagonegone2.blogspot.com

So the tile of this post is Aaron's blog. He was super sad that he only had one comment on his post, and it was from me. I told him that no one knew that he had a blog, so a shout out to everyone... Aaron has a blog. He will tell you the only reason he has a blog is so he can keep family and friends up to date on his deployment, but I think he secretly thinks blogs are like the coolest thing ever.
Well I have a ton of pictures to post of our one year anniversary. Ya that is right Aaron and I have been married for one year, it has been the best one year of my life. We had the best weekend and Aaron bought me something that I have wanted for a really long time! I can't ruin the surprise, I will post pictures of what he gave me. He bought me stuff that will give me something to do while he is gone, he is trying to create hobbies for me. WORDS can't describe how lucky I am to have Aaron as my husband, man I feel so blessed.
Also the army was nice enough to give Aaron Friday and Saturday off last week so we were able to go to Anniversary Inn, Cheesecake Factory, and run errands together. It was AMAZING! Well I will post more details later, I know pictures are way more fun to look at than reading my posts. Oh and I bought my niece her first pairs of shoes, (I bought her two pairs) oh being an aunt is already the best!

REMINDER- CHECK AARON'S BLOG AND LEAVE HIM A COMMENT. LOL!
OH AND HAPPY FEBRUARY EVERYONE! I SURE HOPE IT STOPS SNOWING!
