Canyonlands Half Marathon

This last weekend Aaron and I went to Moab so I could participate in the 1/2 marathon with 5,000 other people. We really had so much fun with all of my cousins, aunt and uncle.
This 1/2 was pretty hard for me but I did it and lived to tell the tale. It even made Aaron want to run the Provo 1/2 with me in August. I am pretty excited that it wants to do it with me.

Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Aaron is wearing all my 1/2 marathon gear, I guess he wanted to look cool or something.

Where to start?

Blogging? What is blogging? Where to start? Should I start with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, The New Year or Valentine's Day? Well I am going to forget about updating about those super awesome events, because I have an even cooler thing to blog about.
Aaron is home. Well he has been home for two months now, and it has been so wonderful to have him home. I have been neglected my blog for far too long and I thought I better get myself in gear and update. I can't believe it is already March, 2009. I hope all of you wonderful blogging buddies of mine are doing well.
Life is going well for the both of us, we enjoy spending every second we can together. We have been busy with school, work and finishing our basement. Aaron did a great job fixing it up and it looks wonderful. He is such a stud and I love him so much.
Here are some pictures from when came home, enjoy!

Our Two Weeks

We hung out with the fam...
We took family pictures...
We took pictures...and for those who are waiting for house pictures these are taken at our house. I will post pictures soon, like you really believe me though!
Our cute swing hanging from our enormous tree...

We took lots of pictures of just the two of us...I don't have alot of pictures of us from 2008, but I will have alot from October of 2008.

We had people over for Rock Band and Pizza!

The bestest neighbors ever... John, Missy, and Brittney
We took family pictures...
Doug, Lisa, Phil, Katie, Dan, Grandma, Aron and me
We were able to hang out with his family and we had a great time. We love spending time with them. They always know how to have a good time.
We took lots of family picutres... LOL!
We went to Park City, we had a hot tub in our room...
And a fireplace...

And a kitchen...

I am sorry to all of those who check my blog, which is probably no one anymore, because I never update. It has been almost two weeks since Aron has left and I am just getting around to updating our blog. I am just the worse picture- taker- in- the- whole-wide-world! I just would rather enjoy the moment instead of always worrying about taking pictures. Aron has a few more to send me through email that he took on his camera.
We seriously had so much fun together. Seeing Aron at the airport was seriously the neatest thing ever, it was a moment that I will never forget nor could ever explain. It was so great to see him again, hug him, kiss him, talk to him in person, laugh with him and cry with him. We had such a blast and we are already counting down the days until he is done and will be home for good.
We did lots of fun activities while Aron was here we went to Park City, went on the Alpine Roller Coaster, the Alpine Slide, went shopping, went to a movie, ate at yummy places, had my favorite treat in the whole wide world Apple Pie Apple at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, did work on our house, hung out with family, had people over at our house, hung out with our awesome friends, watched conference, and really just enjoyed every second we had together. I love my hubby, and I appreciate his service and example to others.
Thanks for the best two weeks. See you in just a couple of months.

Wow has it really been a month since I last posted? Well apparently it has. Life has been very fun-filled and busy. School is cool, I actually really enjoy it and for a terrific TRAXS moment I sat next to a drag queen on Tuesday night, yes that is right don't be jealous. He or should I say she, told me all about what he/she does. He/she had painted toe nails, fake nails and make up on and he performs downtown at a gay club, I am going to watch him/her on Saturday night if anyone is interested just let me know we can drive down together!LOL! I actually really did get a personal invitation to go and watch him! Okay that is a lie as well. Lets just say it was another terrific Tuesday TRAXS experience.
This Sunday Aron, my super awesome husband, is coming home on his R & R (Rest and Relaxation) for two weeks. I can barely stand the anticipation any longer. I can't sleep, eat or concentrate my stomach is in knots just thinking about seeing him after five long months. Oh man thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. We are going to Park City for a couple of nights and then we are coming home and just relaxing and hanging out with family and friends. WOW, can't wait!!!
I have done alot this month and some of the highlights would be: Chelsea & Zak's wedding, had a bridal shower for Chelsea, had our Canyon Rim primary program, and did lots and lots of homework. I am just glad I had things this month to keep my mind off of Aron coming home, because to be honest that is all I think about. Well I am sure some day after Aron leaves I will post pictures of what we did. I hope you all have a great weekend and pray that I will get through these next couple of days, I am going CRAZY with excitement!

What a great, fun-filled weekend I had. On Friday Me, Ali, Gabi, Mindi, Little Whit, Jess, Suz, Madie, Gabi and Grandma went up to Park City to have one last girls weekend before Jess left to Russia. On Friday we went to dinner, ate yummy apples, and giggled all night in the hotel room. Saturday we went on a three hour train ride on the Heber Creeper. It was a lot of fun and I even had a very enjoyable nap. The scenery was beautiful and the company of course was great. After that we went to the yummiest cafe, "Spin Cafe" delicious! I am craving it as I write. Then we went to hang out with Janie and Jenny at the resort they were staying at, which was beautiful! That is when we got to ride the carousel, so much fun. It did cost $2 dollars, but it was well worth it. Then of course we went to the outlet malls. It was a great weekend and it is always fun to get together with family.

Sunday we threw a "Goodbye" party for Jessie before she left to Russia. We had it in my parents backyard and a ton of people came and we had tons of yummy desserts. It was neat to see how many people love and care about Jessie, she has such a fun personality and everyone just loves being around her because she is so positive and has such a great attitude. I just love her and I already miss her so much, she left this morning and I already want her to come home. I do know that it is going to be a great experience for her and she will learn lots and lots.

Monday was my first day of school and what an adventure. I am taking the TRAXS up to the U to save on gas and man I had no idea what kind of people rode on the TRAXS, in the nicest way possible they were "crazies" for lack of a better term. I don't mean to be rude by any means but what a culture shock for me. I was sitting next to a guy that kept saying, "I need to get some more crack." he kept asking me for some and of course I said, "Ya let me just pull that out of my back pack for you." I mean come on, do I look like I have crack. You might also be wondering why I was sitting next to him well lets just say he smelt nice, well okay actually he did not, but anyway the TRAXS were packed and I was the only person left with an available seat so of course I let him sit down. Well anyway it made me really grateful for the great life that I have. At least I will be entertained on the TRAXS. I love school and I had a great first day, I really enjoy to learn and I love being able to stretch my mind and really think. Hopefully life will not get too crazy! Also that night we had a family night with just my immediate family and it was a great experience for me we each shared our favorite scripture with Jessie and gave her some advice for when she is gone, the spirit was so strong and it was a really nice bonding experience for all of us. Then my dad gave her a priesthood blessing which was really neat to witness. Thank goodness for family and for the priesthood. I love this church it brings forth great blessings to me and my family. Well it has been a great weekend and a great week so far. Good luck Jessie, I love you! And of course I have to end by giving a shout out to my hubby, Aron, "I love you and miss you."
