I did it...And lived to tell the tale

So it is Monday and yes I am alive. I ran my first 1/2 marathon on Saturday in Provo. What a cool experience. I ran it with my super cool cousins Jenny and Turk and my awesome aunt Lori. I do have pictures to prove my attendance and if you saw me walk you would know. I can't believe what 13.1 miles can do to your body, I even trained quite a bit and I am still so sore. I really enjoy running and I am proud of myself for accomplishing one of my goals. I am very good at setting goals but very few of them ever get fulfilled and for once I followed through.
I woke up on Saturday morning at 4:30 AM which was not too bad because I could not sleep because I was excited and nervous. Then we drove to Provo, used the restroom, got on the bus and arrived at the starting point. I could not believe how many people were there, it was a pretty neat thing to see. It was really fun running down the provo canyon, Bridal Veil falls is quite beautiful, I will have to go visit it again when I am mentally capable of enjoying it.
I did run the whole 13.1 miles which was what I was hoping for, I was hoping to get this big burst of energy at the end but in fact quite the opposite happened. I finished in 1 hour and 55 minutes and my goal was 2 hours so I was happy to get under what I thought I was going to do it in. I really think I will be a 1/2 marathon runner in the future and I am playing around with the idea of running a full but I am not sold yet.
After the race I went home and painted one of the extra bedrooms with my mom all day, went to a reception, went grocery shopping, came home with my mom finished painting the room and went to bed at 1:30 PM, it was a long day. I am glad that I did keep my body moving so I would not get to stiff. But that night I could not sleep very well because I kept having nightmares that I could not move because my body was so stiff so I kept waking up to keep my body moving. Kind of funny.
Thank you to all the emails and text messages of support and encouragement, it really means alot to me that so many people care about me. I don't know how I got so lucky to have such great friends, it is the greatest blessing to have such a great support team while Aron is gone. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
Also I would like to thank Burgandy for her sweet blog post wishing me good luck so now it is my turn to wish her good luck. GOOD LUCK BURGANDY, you will do great. You are awesome and can't wait to hear how it goes. I know you have a couple of weeks, so when it gets closer I will wish you GOOD LUCK again.

My Celebrity Crush John Mayer

We are allowed one Celebrity Crush, right?

Well I am a little behind on bloggin but I will get caught up. On July 21st Me, Ali, Mindi and Jessie went to the John Mayer concert at Usana. Aron bought me four tickets for my birthday and he told me to take three people and have a fun girls night out, and believe me we had a blast. The concert was great, John Mayer was fabulous and the crowd was a hoot. I am such a people watcher, I love watching those around me, I was so entertained by the music and those around me. Thanks Aron for a great birthday present, we had such a blast. I love just laughing and goofing off with those I love.

Life after John Mayer has been great. I have gone to Girls Camp,I have had school orientation, I have been training for my half marathon which is on Saturday (YIKES), I have painted our whole upstairs of course with lots and lots of help from my family, and I have been completley wrapped up in "Breaking Dawn." So nothing too exciting, I must say though that Girls Camp was exciting and it was a really good experience for me, I had a blast. I did realize that I really do not like to go camping for longer than a night.

I am just grateful that the summer is going fast because at the end of September I get to spend 2 whole weeks with my husband. I really just can't wait, I thought that this whole deployment thing would get easier but to be honest it has not been easy and it is not getting easier. I am grateful for the other Army Wives in Aron's company because they have been a huge support and it has been fun getting to know their familes and spending time with them. So thank you! Life is busy and is going well.

Thanks again Aron for the John Mayer tickets we had FUN! Thank you to Jess, Mindi and Ali for going with me you gals are just simply amazing.

My turn...

Hello everyone, my name is Aaron Hilton, Megan's husband, and I felt like I would just leave a quick little message to you all. I some how suckered her out of her log on, actually I didn't really sucker her I just called and woke her up at three in the morning and just asked for it, so I'm now just sitting here and decided that I wanted to take a second, well a couple of minutes and leave you with a message. Everytime I log on and check out Meg's blog it seems like her friend list just keeps growing. It's now up to 52 friends. The thing is though, I don't think that I'd want it any other way. Megan is a very amazing woman, as I'm sure most of you know, and it just gives me comfort knowing that while I'm gone she has so many people in her life to keep her company. I also just want you to know that I'm coming back so you better get as much "Megan" time as you can because once I get home she's all mine. Sorry ladies, maybe after a couple of months I'll be able to let her leave my side. So just plan on being one short for the first little bit. I really do love the support that she get's from all of you, especially you Shan. You can always read my mind and you know exactly what I'm thinking when it comes to Megan and how she looks. Thanks you for always saying something to her because you know what, she does look so good. I don't even need to go into the family because you're all basically sisters anyways. I'm also thankful for our new super sweet neighbrs, the Burton Bunch. Thank you for your help and for always sending Morgan over to hang out with Meg. Megan needs more mature people to hang out with and Morgan is exactly that, I'm still convinced that she's just a really small 16 year old. And for those of you who are sad that I didn't throw your name out there, get over it. You know that you're amazing people and that I'm talking to you. I just don't have the time to list all 52 people on Meg's friend list. Again, I'm just trying to say thanks. All of you rock and if you come over some time after I get back I'll make you a root beer float or coco if it's winter. So keep on keepin' on and please remember to keep Meg in your thoughts.

Angel's Game

One more year has come and gone. Seriously, going to Newport Beach every year is one of my favorite things in the whole wide world. Okay lets face it, I have not been very many places. But still what more can a person want then spending a week with 62 of their family members on the beach? Well I don't know about you, I enjoyed every minute of it. So now I am experiencing some vacation blues! I want to go back! Every year I also tell myself that I am going to take alot of pictures and once again I failed, maybe next year! LOL!

It was a great week! We relaxed, went running, ate lots and lots of yummy food, went to an Angels game, went to Wicked, Rodeo Dr, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and played at the beach. I could not face the ocean this year, it was too darn cold. I put my feet in one day and quickly retreated back to the sand, nice and warm. I am kind of having some regrets for not going in the ocean, but just thinking about it gives me the chills.

I have to admit my new obsession: WICKED! Holy Cow it was amazing I listen to the sound track every time I am in the car. It just puts me in a good mood. It was so clever, I often wonder how some people can be so darn clever. It was incredible, 2 thumbs up!
It was Aron's birthday on Sunday, so I would like to wish Aron a Happy Be-lated Birthday! I hope you had a great day! Wish I could have spent it with you, but we have next year! Can't wait! Aron is seriously such a sweet heart and I feel so lucky to have him as my husband.
Well tonight I am speaking at Brighton's girls camp and I am so nervous, but I am excited at the same time. I will let you all know how it goes.
Well another Beach vacation down and I am already counting down the days until we go next year. Here is a list of some of my favorite beach activities.
Favorite Beach Activites

Cheese dogs and french fries

Getting lost and having a breakdown in HOLLYWOOD

I am excited for the many more beach activites to come!

California Here I Come...

So I am officially so bored with blogging, I am so bad at. I have lost all enthusiasm. But I am going to stay positive and continue on. I have almost had my blog for a year, WOW! So much has happened in that short amount of time.
So on Saturday morning I fly to Newport Beach, California for a week of relaxation and fun. I honestly can't wait. I get the chills just thinking about it! LOL! While we are there we are going to go and see Wicked and I am freaking out I am so excited. I am also really excited to go running, I have been training for a 1/2 marathon and I have really become fond of running so I think running on the beach will be a nice treat. Wow how many times can I say running in one sentence, I know that is bad grammer but it is my blog, grammer rules do not apply!
I will have lots of fun pictures to post when I get home so stay tuned.
I would officially like to announce that I have been accepted to the U of U and I am going back to school in August. I really am so so so so excited to go back to school. I wonder if my mom will buy me new school clothes for my first day, JK! I have my associates degree but I know the importance of getting an education so I have decided to go and get my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I have always wanted to be a school teacher so I have decided to follow my dreams.
Life has been pretty hectic, but life is good. Aron is doing well, he has a full on beard and it kind of creeps me out. LOL! I am begging him to shave it before he comes home! I am such a mean wife.
Aron has a big birthday coming up next Sunday so all of you blog readers go onto his blog on July 6th and wish him a Happy Birthday. He is under my blogging buddies under SSG. Happy Birthday Aron, you are seriously the best thing EVER!
Thank you to all of those who still read my blog even though I never post anything new. Well I am off to the beach to spend time with all my awesome cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters, brother, mom, dad and grandma. Aron wish you could come! I miss you!
